Found a house!

Ok, the house is not what we're used to, but we found one! We're going to cram into the upstairs of a 5 bedroom until we know how much we can trust the basement. There have been water/rodent issues in the past...Even Brad said "Do you want to sleep in the basement?" Need I say more??

I'm trying to stay positive. I don't want the kids freaked out to go to the basement! Anyway, we are only moving in the bare essentials & will put the rest into storage. So, it'll be like Christmas when we actually find a place that we'll call home.

This house is a 5 bedroom--2 upstairs & 3 down. We'll have a little girls' room, a little boys' room & Brad & I will sleep in the living room. Nice. So we won't have a bedroom door? Neither does the little girls' room. The last renter took it I think...Did I mention there are no closets?

I watched this show about this family who has like 16 kids on TLC. They have a "family closet" right off the laundry room where all the clothes are put & hung up. I thought that mom was BRILLIANT! I think that is what we'll do too. We'll just have all our dressers & clothes in a bedroom downstairs. Look at all the time it'll save when I put away clothes.

It'll be OK after it's cleaned up & I do a bit of painting. Plus, the landlord seems very nice & easy to deal with. She'll let us do pretty much whatever we want & let us have our dog in the house.

God is good, He's found us a house, big enough & we can have a dog. Just what we wanted. I need to be grateful & praise Him even though it's not exactly what I had in mind. Brad lovingly reminded me of that on our way home tonight.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Colossians 4:2

Hmmm. Be in prayer, be watchful. I know God has a sense of humor when He shows me a verse like this in the midst of worrying about this house. He knows just what I need!
