"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Aah.

We had lots of great friends & family help roof our house in Minden Friday & Saturday. They were done completely in about 18 hours of work. They worked HARD! We appreciate their efforts and willingness to travel to help us.

We closed yesterday--we are officially owners of only 1 house. Praise the Lord.

Being at church here Sunday was awesome. In so many ways it's like we never left, or were maybe just an extended vacation. But in lots of other ways so much has changed. It's interesting, especially at church, to sit back & see how they do things & see who is doing what. We are watching & praying about how we can step into positions of service. We won't step "back" into our old positions, but get a chance to serve in new ways. That is exciting.

Many people have asked if we miss our house on Broadway or if we wish we hadn't left. But, we don't. We know that a house is just a house. We liked our "blueberry" house, but we don't wish we had it back. We are enjoying our new house & our new neighborhood. It's fun to get to know other people and a different area of town.

Do we wish we wouldn't have moved? No. We needed that time to grow. The Lord taught us a lot about our priorities and gave us a fresh perspective. We met some amazing people and had the opportunity to be closer to my parents for a short while. It was a good year for us, but we are very thankful to be able to come back "home."
