Take Me Out to the Ballgame!
The boys have had a great baseball year. Hunter's team had a double header tonight & though they didn't win either game, they played very well. Hunter had 3 hits & scored 2 times. They finish their season on Monday & Tuesday with their Little League Tournament.
Parker has had a lot of fun with his Coach-Pitch team. He's had several great hits & you can tell he's really starting to understand the game.
Good Music Good Memories
I hope you appreciate the 90's music. I know TKSB will love the NKOTB. I remember roller skating to "Built this City." Good times.
Good day at the Dillan house. Our house has sold in Imperial (praise!!) & I've been packing away here. I have a lot of boxes ready to go to storage. The kids have started working on their rooms. It's way more fun to build box forts out of the 50 boxes in the basement. Who needs toys?

Good Day
All in all this has been a good day. We watched the boys light fireworks tonight. I'm sure they'll be back & forth to the fireworks stand 2 blocks away from here. Until the money runs out...
I've packed several things including most of the pictures off the walls upstairs. We're getting closer although there is much more packing to be done.
I love this blogging! How could I not have discovered this sooner? I think it's a bit like an online diary but you have to remember that someone else may actually read this. I'd better watch what I write! :)
Happy Anniversary to you Chris & Nikki and Happy Birthday to you Talon! The big 6! Hard to believe it's already been 2 years C&N. I was just looking at pictures of your wedding & how small Cooper was then--only 1 1/2 weeks old.

Found a house!
Ok, the house is not what we're used to, but we found one! We're going to cram into the upstairs of a 5 bedroom until we know how much we can trust the basement. There have been water/rodent issues in the past...Even Brad said "Do you want to sleep in the basement?" Need I say more??
I'm trying to stay positive. I don't want the kids freaked out to go to the basement! Anyway, we are only moving in the bare essentials & will put the rest into storage. So, it'll be like Christmas when we actually find a place that we'll call home.
This house is a 5 bedroom--2 upstairs & 3 down. We'll have a little girls' room, a little boys' room & Brad & I will sleep in the living room. Nice. So we won't have a bedroom door? Neither does the little girls' room. The last renter took it I think...Did I mention there are no closets?

I watched this show about this family who has like 16 kids on TLC. They have a "family closet" right off the laundry room where all the clothes are put & hung up. I thought that mom was BRILLIANT! I think that is what we'll do too. We'll just have all our dressers & clothes in a bedroom downstairs. Look at all the time it'll save when I put away clothes.
It'll be OK after it's cleaned up & I do a bit of painting. Plus, the landlord seems very nice & easy to deal with. She'll let us do pretty much whatever we want & let us have our dog in the house.
God is good, He's found us a house, big enough & we can have a dog. Just what we wanted. I need to be grateful & praise Him even though it's not exactly what I had in mind. Brad lovingly reminded me of that on our way home tonight.
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Colossians 4:2
Hmmm. Be in prayer, be watchful. I know God has a sense of humor when He shows me a verse like this in the midst of worrying about this house. He knows just what I need!
This is the Day
This is the day that the Lord has made! We're up (almost all of us) & getting ready for church. Looking ahead we don't have that many more Sundays to "officially" to spend at Crossroads Wesleyan. I'm going to miss our church family!
We're going to look at a house today in Minden to rent. I got to see the outside of it last week but will go inside today. I hope it will work out well & hope there are no snakes... Thanks to Burpo's for watching the boys while we travel today. What good friends that they'll watch the boys even as we house hunt.

We're Moving...
With much excitement & sadness we're leaving Imperial in July. Brad took a job working with Dean & Gene Carstens in Minden, NE. We've been house hunting there & think we've finally got one lined up. There is a house there I'll never again set foot in...snake in the basement when I was there! Needless to say, it's already been an adventure & we're not even there yet!
