ok, so i read "the shack."
i'd heard a lot of controversy over it & wanted to be able to hold a halfway intelligent conversation about it if needed.
it's an interesting story. it held my attention & i was anxious to know what happened next. i love a good story, so as far as that goes, it was ok for a fictional book.
that being said, i don't think it gives a totally biblical view of God or of the trinity.
some of the things written were good points about the way humans think. the author was able to create a word picture several times about things that can be hard to understand.
i think if you are interested in a good story, merely for fictional purposes, it is an alright book. however, if you are new to the christian faith i'd not recommend reading it, as it could plant ideas in your mind about God that are not grounded in the Bible.
i have plenty of other christian fiction books i'd recommend before this one, if you are interested.
