A great visit to Imperial proved to be overwhelming for me. It was so good to see everyone. I had a great time! We spent Saturday with family then Sunday with our CWC family.
I cried a lot of the way home (i.e. overwhelmed) because I hated to leave such dear ones! I think it's harder now then when we first moved--absence makes the heart grow fonder, you know!

Easter
We can't wait to spend a little time in Imperial this weekend. We'll be able to see Brad's family & spend Sunday with our CWC church family. I'm thinking Sonja will probably make prime rib for lunch...:)
The kids have been home this week for spring break. They get 10 days off! I'm telling you, this is the town to be a teacher! They are out of school all the time. It's been nice not having to set the alarm this week but there has sure been a lot of fighting amongst the siblings.
I hope all of you get to spend Sunday celebrating our Risen Savior.
Here's a post from my sister-in-law's blog that I love:
Andrew's Easter Story
Today at lunch, we were telling Daddy all that we had learned when we played with the Resurrection Eggs this morning. When we got to Andrew's egg, the last one which was empty, he had a fun version of the story. He says that "Mary, Jesus' Mom, and two other ladies went to the tomb to take some food, but when they got there all they found was an angel who said 'There's nobody here - not even a dead guy'"
Matthew 28:6 "He is not here, He is risen, just as He said."

Cool Prizes
Brad, Hunter & Parker went to a Turkey Creek banquet last night & came home with lots of great prizes including a replica Case sprayer, a mask, hats, turkey calls & a shotgun!
Parker won the youth drawing for a kids' shotgun. How cool is that! It was the biggest prize there for the youth. That would be comparable to winning a car on the Price is Right! Or the showcase showdown!

Wanted
We've come to the decision that we need to find a home for our dog out in the country. We hate to get rid of him, but we've had to have him tied up since we moved in November. When he sees a rabbit across the street (there is a big open lot that sits next to a dry creekbed) off he goes on the hunt.
He would be a GREAT dog for someone who lives in the country. So, calling all our COUNTRY friends...
He really is a good dog but needs a place to run. The kids keep saying, "I don't want to give Sunny away." I feel the same way, but know this is best for Sunny to be able to chase the rabbits he wants to.

What a great time in KC! These are my dear YC friends who I have so many fun memories of. Thanks to our hubbies for giving us this girltime. My face still hurts from all the laughing over the weekend girls! Thanks for the fun. I'm still recovering from the lack of sleep also. Late night settlers of catan games & the time change kinda hurt. We've also decided we'll try Hawaii for our next girl trip...
interruptions...
what i had to say today while talking on the phone 2 different times:
1. oh, can i call you back? the police are here.
2. better go. kamrie just fell out of the tree.
everythings ok. no broken bones from the tree fall--just a couple of scrapes.
the police just dropped my dog off & gave me a warning for not having it licensed. sunny the dog is looking for a new home (only he doesn't know it yet).
seriously, does anyone want a nice friendly neutered yellow lab? he needs a home in the country where he is free to run a bit. i'd miss him but know it'll be better than him running around town. i'm not sure when/if we're going to fence this yard & we are tired of tying sunny up. he doesn't enjoy it either.

Footers are poured & ready for the steel!
Oh how these pictures make me miss our CWC even more! You'll always be family even though we aren't in Imperial. I am so thankful this building project is getting underway. Keep up the good fight in Imperial! We're praying for you to be united & effective to reach the community. God is going to use this building in AMAZING ways. We love you!

Sticky Faith

Life Journal Entry, March 6, 08
S: Dueteronomy 4:9
"Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them."
O: Don't let what God has shown me or taught me slip away--make it stick in my life.
A: Keep in the Word & prayer every day. Teach what I know to the kids and to their kids...
P: Lord, I know you have a plan--a good plan like you promise in your Word. Let me use and retain the lessons you've taught me so that it sticks! Help me teach my children and others that you alone are sovereign and worthy of our praise. Help me teach them in a way that sticks to their hearts.

PT Conferences
Great job in school kiddos! Your teachers think you are all polite, well behaved & kind to others. So you need a little help in spelling & math. That's ok. We can handle that.
In the car after Kamrie's PT conference, I told her how proud I was of how she is doing in kindergarten. She informed me that she is always good at school.
Mommy: "Why aren't you always good at home?"
Kamrie: "Because in the morning you pray."
Mommy: "So, we need to pray right when you get home from school too?"
Kamrie: "I guess so."
Ok then. I'm glad the prayer in the car on the way to school is working...
