catch-up

it's been so long since my last post & so much has happened i don't know how i'll catch up on the blog. there are a few great moments caught on film that i'll share as i have more time...like the boys' trapping a skunk. pictures soon. i promise.

we are moved into our home in imperial & enjoying seeing our old friends. it's been so fun having people drive by & stop to see us as they pass.

this is night #2 here, and so different than the move last summer. if you read the blog last year after our first night in our rental there were many tears shed & lots of fears about the sounds of the new house.

there was none of that last night as we spent our first night here. the kids have been here every day for over 2 weeks getting the house ready & evidently that helped smooth the transition. that & knowing that we aren't in a town where we don't know a soul. it really has been like coming "home" the last few weeks. it's been great to see everyone.

the house is coming along. i made lots of progress today on the box-factor. so there will be "before & after" pictures soon. paint & new curtains can do wonders.

we've run some new plumbing downstairs for the washer & dryer, replaced part of the sewer line (thank the Lord we didn't have a lot moved into the basement!!!), replaced the air conditioner & painted about 12 gallons of paint.

tonight's drama?? the alternator (we think) went out on the suburban--right in front of the house. i'm so glad God got us home rather than stranded out on the highway!

IT is SOOO GREAT YOU ARE HERE. I don't need to read the blog to know what is going on. I saw that your vehicle was broke down.
